The purpose of this module is to provide researchers at the University of New Mexico with essential information to identify and avoid plagiarism. You will learn about different types of plagiarism, its causes and possible consequences, and ways that you can avoid plagiarizing in your own scholarly work.

Academic Integrity Tutorial for Students, Faculty, and Staff

Academic Integrity is a tutorial for students, faculty, and staff of the University of New Mexico. This course has been prepared by Graduate Studies in conjunction with the College of Education, the Dean of Students Office, and the Office of the Vice President for Research. The course is designed to create awareness of academic integrity and related topics and consists of an Introduction that all learners complete, as well as three different learning paths that learners select based on their role in the university: Student, Faculty, or Staff. Learners may complete one section at a time if multiple roles apply. Upon completion of their selected learning path(s), learners take an assessment to test their understanding of the importance of, and UNM policies about, academic integrity and responsible conduct of research.

Overview of the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR)

tutorial button  Overview of Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) is an online tutorial for from Graduate Studies for students of the University of New Mexico, prepared by the Office of Academic Integrity and Research Ethics (AIRE). The course is designed to further explore RCR and related topics and consists of an expansion of previous tutorials with additional content that applies only to students at the graduate and undergraduate level alike.

Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Recertification

This 20-30 minute, self-guided module reviews the 12 core subject areas of RCR, presents a series of ethical dilemmas pertaining to RCR topics, and includes an assessment that must be completed with a minimum score of 80%.
