Integrity & Ethics Workshops
Every semester, the Academic Integrity & Research Ethics initiative (AIRE) offers a several sets of courses for Responsible Conduct of Research certification (RCR) as well as general knowledge about topics such as plagiarism, animal and human subjects in research, authorship and publication issues, and more. These are generally offered as 1 credit courses, but may also be taken for FREE, non-transcripted credit by registering on the AIRE website.
This semester's offerings include:
- Tuesdays, September 4 - October 23, 2018 (NOTE: This is an eight week class that begins 3rd week of fall semester)
4:00 to 5:20 PM, Woodward Hall 149
Register for 1-credit with OILS 593-001 (CRN 63111) OR NSMS 550-002 (CRN 63109). For free, non-transcripted attendance, click here. This course is cross-listed for either nanoscience or OILS departments. This 8-week class has lectures, guest speakers, and self-driven projects.
- Thursdays, August 30 - September 20, 2018 (NOTE: Only certification is offered in this 4 week sub-course as it is part of a larger 16-week "New Graduate Students in Psychology" course; all are welcome to the research ethics sub-section)
1:00 - 2:40 PM, Logan Hall 226
For transcript credit, register on Banner: PSY 505-001. Unless you are a Psychology graduate student you cannot receive transcript credit for PSY 505. You may however sit in for RCR Certification. For free, non-transcripted attendance, click here.
