Application Instructions
The following information is provided to help the prospective student successfully apply for admission to the Art History graduate program at the University of New Mexico. Although Graduate Studies strives to keep this information up-to-date, we still encourage you to visit the program's website to verify application instructions and required materials.

Program of Interest | Select: College of Fine Arts > Art and Art History > Art Studio > Choose only ONE area of interest. Only your first selected area of interest will be considered; please level the second one blank. |
Letter of Intent | Required. Please see the program's guidelines. |
Writing Sample | Artist statement, no longer than one page. |
CV/Resume | Required. No special instructions. |
Special Requirements | Digital portfolio of 15-20 images of your best work. Upload a single high resolution PDF containing the full set of your images. Include the title, dimensions, date, and medium below each image. |
Video/Audio Link | Optional. Provide links to any videos that are part of your portfolio. Please use Vimeo for video hosting. |
Assistantship Interest | Optional. If you would like the opportunity to apply for an assistantship if you are admitted, please include a brief, one paragraph statement of financial need, and indicate whether teaching is a career goal for you. |
Recommendations | Three (3) letters of recommendation are required. |
