Western Regional Graduate Program
Did you know that you may be eligible for a tuition discount if you live in any of these states or territories?
The University of New Mexico (UNM) participates in the Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP). WRGP is administered by the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE). Through WRGP, UNM offers selected graduate programs at the in-state tuition rate to qualified non-resident students from other WICHE member states.

All eligible applicants will be considered for the tuition discount.

Additional Information for Departments
Please review the WRGP overview, instructions, and FAQs.
Programs are responsible for communicating with the applicant about the WRGP waiver. The tuition discount is applied at the time of admission into the department/program. If a program elects to add a student who is already enrolled, the program would submit that request to the Office of Student Financial Aid using the OnBase form, as outlined in the instructions above.
If your department/program is not currently participating in WRPG, you can apply to have your program added. If you have any questions about WRGP, please contact Robben Brown at rbaca@unm.edu.
