Application Instructions
The following information is provided to help the prospective student successfully apply for admission to the Community and Regional Planning (MRCP) graduate program at the University of New Mexico. Although Graduate Studies strives to keep this information up-to-date, we still encourage you to visit the program's website to verify application instructions and required materials.
International students (including non-U.S. citizens on a visa) generally must complete additional steps to apply to a graduate program at UNM. Please see the International Admissions website for more information.

Fall Admission | International Students (Priority Deadline): December 1st by 5:00 p.m. MST U.S. Residents (Priority Deadline): January 15th by 5:00 p.m. MST Applications received after these deadlines but before April 1st will be considered in a second round of admissions. Applications received after April 1st will only be considered on a space-available basis. |

Educational Background | Applicants must upload unofficial transcripts or their application will be considered incomplete. Official transcripts must also be sent directly to the UNM admissions office. |

International Student Requirements | International students must submit official TOEFL scores, which must meet the UNM minimum of 79 on the IBT TOEFL. They must also submit an attested copy of their diploma. |

CV/Resume | The resume should include education, employment, professional experience, publications, service and other accomplishments. |
Assistantship Interest | Project Assistantships are awarded annually to a limited number of incoming students. PA-ships in the CRP Program entail 10 hours of work per week for a Program faculty member at $12.00 per hour. These assistantships garner resident tuition rates for out-of-state students for the semesters in which an assistantship is held. Eligibility is based on receipt of the CRP PA-ship application, here, and on the strength of the application for admission.
