The following information is provided to help the prospective student successfully apply for admission to the Educational Leadership MA program at the University of New Mexico. Letter of Intent | Tell us about yourself as a person, a learner, a leader, and how this program can help you develop in the following areas:

Writing Sample | Submit an original essay: Identify a significant issue in Educational Leadership and explain why it is significant; explain what might be done about it. Writing should contain appropriate references/citations; approximately 750 words. Essay should not be a writing sample that was generated for another purpose, e.g. master’s thesis, classroom paper, etc. |
CV/Resume | A current resume is required. |
Special Requirements | A Professional Biographical Form must be submitted; form can be found here. |
Recommendations | Three (3) letters of reference are required. Should be solicited from a broad spectrum of persons familiar with your work, and your leadership experience. References from peers strongly discouraged. Reference from your direct supervisor encouraged. |
