Application Instructions
The following information is provided to help the prospective student successfully apply for admission to the Landscape Architecture graduate programs at the University of New Mexico. Although Graduate Studies strives to keep this information up-to-date, we still encourage you to visit the program's website to verify application instructions and required materials.

Educational Background | Applicants must upload unofficial transcripts or their application will be considered incomplete. Official transcripts must also be sent directly to the UNM admissions office. |

Letter of Intent | Please outline your interest in the discipline of landscape architecture and the reasons for seeking admission to the program |
CV/Resume | The resume should include education, employment, professional experience, publications, service and other accomplishments. |
Special Requirements | A portfolio is optional for three-year applicants, but required for two-year applicants. The portfolio should provide high quality examples of creative thinking and creative approaches in no larger than an 11x17 format. Applicants are encouraged to think about the design and presentation of the portfolio. Please do not include original works in the portfolio submission, rather submit copies, prints or images of original works at an effective quality to communicate appropriate detail. Both analog and digital portfolio submission are accepted. |
Recommendations | Three letters of recommendation are required from three individuals under whom the applicant worked and/or studied. Two of the letters should come from teachers or academic advisors who can comment on the applicant’s undergraduate performance. |
