The following information is provided to help the prospective student successfully apply for admission to the Nuclear Engineering MS and PhD graduate programs at the University of New Mexico. Program of Interest | Select: School of Engineering > Nuclear Engineering > Nuclear Engineering If you are pursuing a MS with a concentration in Radiation Protection or Medical Physics, please select this concentration in the "Interest" field. If you are not pursuing either concentration, please select “Undecided” from the drop down list. |
Test Scores | Official GRE scores are required for the Medical Physics concentration, but are optional for the other graduate programs in the Department of Nuclear Engineering. |
Letter of Intent | Please describe your qualifications, experience, objectives, professional goals, and research interest for undertaking graduate studies in Nuclear Engineering. Your letter should also include the name(s) of the faculty members you would like to work with. |
CV/Resume | Required. No special instructions. |
Assistantship Interest | Research assistantships are limited and selection process is very competitive. Please submit a short paragraph stating your ability to be self-supporting or highlighting your financial needs. |
Recommendations | Three (3) online letters of recommendation are required. Please enter your recommendation providers right away to help expedite your application. |
