Application Instructions
The following information is provided to help the prospective student successfully apply for admission to the Race and Social Justice graduate certificate program at the University of New Mexico. Letter of Intent | In two to three single-spaced pages, please address the following questions: 1. Why are you interested in the study of race and social justice? 2. Discuss your own lived racial experiences in relation to your understanding of race. 3. How do you see the study of race and social justice connecting with your current graduate degree program? What impact do you hope to make after graduation? |
Writing Sample | A writing sample of at least 500 words is required. Topic is not important, as we are looking for your ability to communicate your ideas in writing. Most applicants send a term paper, article or report. Check with us if you have any questions about this requirement. |
CV/Resume | A current resume is required. |
Special Requirements | Please complete the program's supplemental document and upload it to the Special Requirements section of the application. |
