The following information is provided to help the prospective student successfully apply for admission to the Graduate Certificate in Technical and Professional Communication program at the University of New Mexico. Letter of Intent | In your Letter of Intent, you have the opportunity to tell the TPC program faculty about yourself formally, including your areas of interest, previous relevant experience, and academic goals. Your letter, which should not exceed 1,000 words, should also indicate how you envision yourself and your interest in TPC as related to the structure of the GCERT-TPC program. As admission is granted to candidates whom TPC faculty believe will best be served by UNM’s specific GCERT-TPC program, it will be helpful for faculty to know why you are choosing UNM for this credential. |
CV/Resume | A CV or resume is required, detailing your academic and employment history and emphasizing writing and communication responsibilities. |
Assistantship Interest | No assistantships are available to students pursuing the GCERT as an individual credential. |
Additional Requirements | Applicants for the GCERT-TPC program must hold a Bachelor's (BA or BS) degree with at least a 3.0 GPA. |
Recommendations | No letters of recommendation are required. |
