WRGP for Departments
WRGP is a tuition agreement for graduate students from participating states that offers in-state tuition.
How should we use WRGP strategically?
Programs should consider WRGP if:
- Enrollment is dropping or is below capacity/target
- Student diversity or quality is lacking; need to reach new markets
- Assistantships or other student supports are minimal
Programs should not join WRGP if:
- Student interest already exceeds capacity
- Most students already have tuition waivers
Current Process
- Program applies to Grad Studies, with approval of college dean
- Approved programs offer in-state tuition to WICHE-eligible students
- Tracked in Banner (improvements underway)
